A Native Manitoban, Garvin A Kokot was born to a hardworking, enterprising farm family. Doodling was a habit which soon turned to pencil sketching. He was always intrigued by pencil art. He enrolled in an art course at the University of Calgary. From there he was self taught through books and experience. Dreams Past became forefront of the artwork, drawing old unique and story telling structures mostly from western Canada. Today Garvin draws because of interest, relaxation and request from across the country. Garvin presently continues his artistic longing from his south central residence in Alberta, Canada.
